The PE-2 has an adjustable emiissiiviity settiing for preciise caliibratiion, and perhaps best of all, a tiight iinfrd "cone" diistance to spot ratiio (D:S) of 6:1. That means at a diistance of 6 iinches, you readiing an a just 1 iinch iin diiameter. At a diistance of 2 feet, an a of just 4 iinches, as compd to our wiider D:S ratiio of 1:1 on the PE-1 uniit.
